This is as close as I can find to something in the bible that seems to indicate that folks who suffer will be rewarded in heaven.

"“Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you." -Matthew 5:11-12

But perhaps there are other verses?
kc bobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17440862813109808755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3425883570523485808.post-13596792811509840112014-07-22T19:47:55.786-04:002014-07-22T19:47:55.786-04:00No problem Fred. I struggle with question and was wanting the input of a seasoned believer like yourself.

I think that the redemption of pain is a great hope for people who suffer. It seems to flow with the character of God. Even so, there is little teaching and, I think, little belief that pain will be redeemed in Heaven.kc bobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17440862813109808755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3425883570523485808.post-48971463267048462072014-07-21T20:54:13.330-04:002014-07-21T20:54:13.330-04:00I hope my comment didn't seem to make light of...I hope my comment didn't seem to make light of suffering. I know you have been through more than your share. I really don't have any good answers. For me, I have to believe that God redeems our pain somehow. Otherwise it seems hopeless.Fred Shopehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05993039629949819266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3425883570523485808.post-42651718421260938312014-07-21T11:59:16.993-04:002014-07-21T11:59:16.993-04:00Bob, that's a good question. I don't know ...Bob, that's a good question. I don't know exactly what that would look like. Perhaps we'll get to see positive effects our pain had on others through what they saw in us. Maybe we will see the ways in which it made us more like Christ.Fred Shopehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05993039629949819266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3425883570523485808.post-77554219270976807472014-07-20T14:10:03.119-04:002014-07-20T14:10:03.119-04:00"Hold on, pain will be redeemed."
